The Shapers Shed is an inviting and encouraging space for anyone to learn the unique craft of surfboard shaping.

The Shapers Shed is fully equipped with three shaping bays, one glassing room (for fiber glassing your hand shaped boards), kitchen, washroom, and large a area for teaching theory/relaxing!

We provide all materials and equipment to create your own one of a kind surfboard.

Our space is available for hire, one on one tuition, and group sessions.

Who is behind The Shapers Shed?

Meet Todd, the creator of The Shapers Shed and an enthusiastic surfer!

Todd became a surfboard shaper, completing his apprenticeship and gaining his Certificate III in Composite Engineering (fancy name for surfboard manufacturing). Previous to this Todd has worked in the outdoor education industry, working to create and run epic outdoor adventures for young people.

From here Todd decided to fuse his two passions: shaping surfboards & education.

Todd is all about sharing his skills and knowledge of surfboard shaping. The goal of The Shapers Shed is to provide group workshops guiding participants to create their own unique handcrafted quality board.
